Baptism & Church Membership
Baptism
We believe baptism is one of the ordinances Jesus gave to the church. Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is a solemn testimony and picture of our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior with its effect in our death to sin and resurrection to new life. Believer's baptism is a prerequisite to the privileges of church membership.
Matthew 3:16; Acts 2:41-42; 8:12, 26-39; Romans 6:3-5; Colossians 2:12
Church Membership
Church membership is a welcomed privilege for regular attendees of First Baptist. It is the first step for serving in many of our ministries. To become a member, the completion of a New Members Class is our way of letting you know what we are all about, as well as the opportunity for us to know you better.
New Member classes are offered several times a year. There is no obligation to join after you have taken the class.
